Before and After Weight Loss Ads

We have all seen the before and after weight loss ads, trying to sell us some product that is going to make us go from drab to fab.  However what little people know is the people in these ads are semi-pro athletes.  When a semi-pro athlete gets hurt they often put on weight because they cannot work out, or they put on weight simply for the before shot of the advertisement.  Once they are healthy again, they go back to their normal workout.  Causing them to lose weight but also obtain a body that no one can without working out as a job.  This causes many people to be coned into buying these weight loss items in hope of achieving a result that is not possible.  

Sims

The Sims is a strategic life-simulation video game.  Through the Sims gave you can build a character, build a house, and decide how they live their lives.  You need to attend to the Sims needs and give them what they want.  The game is based artificial life program. 

 

Treasure Map

A treasure map is a map that marks the location of buried treasure, a lost mine, a valuable secret or a hidden locale.  More common in fiction than in reality, "pirate treasure maps" are often depicted in works of fiction as hand drawn and containing arcane clues for the characters to follow. Regardless of the term's literary use, anything that meets the criterion of a "map" that describes the location of a “treasure” could appropriately be called a "treasure map."  

One of the earliest known instances of a document listing buried treasure is the copper scroll, which was recovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls near Qumran in 1952. Believed to have been written between 50 and 100 AD, the scroll contains a list of 63 locations with detailed directions pointing to hidden treasures of gold and silver.

Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty National Monument officially celebrated her 100^th birthday on October 28, 1986.  The people of France gave the Statue to the people of the United States over one hundred years ago in recognition of the friendship established during the American Revolution. Over the years, the Statue of Liberty's symbolism has grown to include freedom and democracy as well as this international friendship.  She has greeted many immigrants into the new world, and also remained as hope for a better life. 

Sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi was commissioned to design a sculpture with the year 1876 in mind for completion, to commemorate the centennial of the American Declaration of Independence. The Statue was a joint effort between America and France and it was agreed upon that the American people were to build the pedestal, and the French people were responsible for the Statue and its assembly here in the United States. However, lack of funds was a problem on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. In France, public fees, various forms of entertainment, and a lottery were among the methods used to raise funds. In the United States, benefit theatrical events, art exhibitions, auctions and prize fights assisted in providing needed funds.

Lady Gaga

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta is better known as Lady Gaga.  She is an American singer and songwriter, born and raised in New York City.  Her first album, The Fame, debut in 2008.

Lady Gaga has consecutively appeared on Billboard magazine's Artists of the Year (scoring the definitive title in 2010), is regularly placed on lists composed by Forbes magazine, and was named one of the most influential people in the world by Time magazine.
